Hey! I'm kinda dropping in, and blogging one day ahead of the actual plan.

Well....my little child is upset. Hope this will cheer her up, even if a little.

Today is a friday! It's been 3 weeks since I last touched down in Singapore.

My second time leaving home without my parents. Not exactly nervous though, cause I'm heading to my dreamland :)

The first time was really nerve-wrecking I have to admit. Back when I went to Japan for a cultural exchange trip. I got homesick really quickly haha!

Not to say I ain't homesick now. Then again, I only miss my warm comfy home, my beloved family. And of course, most definitely my beautiful child :) Tempting to squeeze her face with each mention of her lol =x

So now I'm blogging from Cambridge City, Massachussets. Just a bridge across from Boston City. In fact, I'm situated smack right in MIT. The dream university of any engineers haha! Or at least, it's one of the most best engineering colleges in the world.

City is really beautiful. Places are bustling with life, but in a good, and controlled manner. There isn't much of a crowd, neither is it entirely deserted. It's just nice, you won't have to stop after walking every few feet because there is some dude blocking your path. Yeah that's Singapore I'm talking about lol.

It's summer. But surprisingly the first week was really cooling. 16-22 degrees if I remember.

It's that kinda moment where it's warm and fuzzy because the sun is baring on you. Yet, it feels good because cold breeze is blowing in your face. A good mix of both, can't say any weather can get any better than this.

First weekend, headed down to Boston City itself and some of it's places of interest. I have to say, it's absolutely breathtaking.

America is every bit as beautiful as I imagined it to be. Heck I should've been born here! Haha! Like my mum said once, our whole family is born at the wrong place. Mummy should have been born in Egypt, Eunice in France, and me in the States.

But hey, guess I can't exactly complain being born in Singapore. Sure that place is one hell of a shithole. Yet, it's there I met a really wonderful girl :)

Yeah that girl that scolds me every now and then, throws weird tantrums. But it's the very same cute silly girl I love :)

Oh one thing really surprising here for me was the time the sun set. It sets at only around 8-9 pm. Now that's a very long day xD Oh and if I didn't mention, the sun rises at around 4! Best have your blinds drawn! hahaha!

I have talked quite abit and haven't told you about my humble abode!

I'm living at a dorm somewhere in MIT LOL! In any case, it's real humble. Kinda like a peasant's hut xD

Thought I would complain? Cause I'm pampered as hell by my parents in Singapore? Well think again!

I'm not! :D Sure it's humble and all. Yet, the life here is so awesome, it kinda takes that little shitty part away. It's still a nice shelter. Um....besides the mess I created myself though =x

Well....I know I'm not being very coherent here. I'm just jumping from point to point LOL! There are just so many things I can't really be bothered to organize my thoughts. So I'll just write down whatever comes to my mind. Which, is a hell lot of stuff.

Next, let's talk a little about my workplace! GAMBIT lab!

Well that's definitely the most fun workplace I have ever been at. Then again...it's my first xD Yet hell I'm enjoying every bit of it. Besides the usual mind block during design processes that can get frustrating.

I get to do my arty stuff, free flow of sodas, and get to play games on their computers! Which pales in comparison to what I have at home, but still alot better than my laptop LOL! So I kinda stay back every day till about 9 just using the computer.

Imagine that, who the hell in the right mind stays in the office till 9 everyday willingly? Oh well =/

The foodcourt just below the building sells awesome fries and burgers xD Fries that have salt =p

GAMBIT lab is within a google owned building though. So I kinda see people wearing shirts with GOOGLE on it walking in and out every day.

People here are really nice. You can walk up to just basically anyone and expect an actual conversation. People smile, people greet one another. It's absolutely amazing. of course, not to say there isn't America's fair share of baddies. This place definitely ain't as safe as Singapore I must say. Then again, life's short. Why live it worrying so much? Why not live it out? That's what I think :)

Whatever comes will come. I mean, if I'm destined to be robbed and killed tomorrow. Whether I'm here, in Singapore or somewhere else, it'll still be the same. I'd prefer to just live my life and experience the things you can only get in one lifetime.

Oh and talking about food. There are so many independent fast food and pizza branches they kinda make Mcdonalds and Pizza Hut look like babies lol. Each one of these branches' food taste as good, if not better than both afforementioned. It's so easy to monopolize the market in Singapore huh? haha!

Been here three weeks, and only seen 1 Macdonalds outlet. That's how bad it is. Oh well =/

I don't know if I should go into each and every attraction I went. Maybe I should :O

A'ight, so I went to the Aquarium, Museum of Fine Arts, Prudential Center, Museum of Science and Harvard Museum of natural history.

Let's start with aquarium. It's a nice place, with the coastline just right beside it. LOTS OF SEAGULLS!

There were well, ya know, fish, penguins and stuff.

We can actually get to touch the stingrays! They will actually swim to you lol.

The cool thing about this place is, there is this gigantic cylindrical water tank smack right int he middle of the aquarium. Inside is just basically thousands of aquatic life swimming in it. I walked to the top of it because they said there will be an octopus there.

That was also the most disappointing part though, the octopus wasn't there for the weekend :( Oh well....but there was this humongous turtle. A staff was feeding it cabbage xD

Next, there is the Museum of Fine Arts. Alright, I gotta say, this is the best attraction out of the five. Why? Cause I get to see colonial paintings! Many works of master painters during the victorian or colonial periods are there :D

This huge painting of the Prince of Wales landing in America is awesome. That painting would probably take me a few years to finish =x I wonder how long the actual painter took.

There were alot of sections in it though. The ancient world one was also nice. Egyptian hieroglyphs and artifacts were a nice addition :)

The Americas and Europe sections were the best. Nuff said.

Asian ones were...meh....never liked Asian styles of art.

I took like 4 hours to finish the museum? It's insane. My feet were hurting like child was biting them.

Okay! Let's move on. Then there's the prudential center. Oh the first time I went down, the place was closed for a private function :( So it was a wasted trip. The second time we went, it was partially closed. But at least we still get to see Boston's sights.

So the Prudential Center is basically this really tall building where we can observe the city's sights at the uppermost level. Not almost the uppermost. The 50th floor. The highest was 52nd floor, which is home to a restaurant "Top of the Hub" =/

So like I said earlier, the sun didn't set till around 8. So we kinda went up and waited.

After the sun sets, I must say....the view is breathtaking. We could see the whole of Boston city, the ports and the natural scenery beyond. The lights helped alot too! I love shiny stuff xD Bling bling

I took lotsa photos xD

Then there is the Museum of Science. Nothing interesting here. The best part of it was an electricity showcase. People played music using overexposed electricity. It was crazy xD

I was like WHAT?! I never knew you could play music with electricity itself!

I had to cover my ears half the time though. It was extremely loud. Kinda like thunder.

Finally there is Harvard Museum of natural history. They had tons of animal exhibits and stuff. Really neat.

There was a section with this huge blue whale skeleton hanging above me xD

There were like tons of gemstones too! Like over a thousand????

It's crazy. I took photos of every single gemstone case xD

Then I saw this gem stuff for sale at only 6 bucks. It looks real enough....but at 6 bucks. It's probabaly fake? So I didn't get it in the end =/

This is a wonderful place :) Oh and not to mention I can play the US only online game vindictus xD

I hope one day I can come back to this land with my childo :) Then again, I don't know what she has in mind =/

Child child, I love you! Cheer up okay? I didn't ignore you on purpose.

I'm really busy during work hours ya know. Standard companies have 2-3 years to develop a game. We only have 9 weeks. Imagine all the stuff cramped into it. Hope you understand...

Huggies!
