A response to my friend - Junboon
Well you were saying that all relationships of any kind, be it friendship, aquaintances or even intimate revolves around the use of the other party.
That well, is pretty much true. Everything we come to interact with because we have a use for that something. Be it a live or inanimate objetct.
When you're bored, you get friends around you. You USE them to quell your boredom.
When you're hungry, you interact with food and USE the food to satisfy your hunger.
When you're in an intimate relationship, you USE the other person as a comfort.
Even when you're doing nothing and lying on bed, you're still USING the bed as a medium for rest. Even though it's dead.
When you're down, you USE people to cheer you up. Well...even if like you play games to cheer yourself up, you're still USING the game as a medium.
I know those are pretty bad examples, but I just wanna emphasize on the fact that everything does revolve around the use of something else. However, don't look at it in the way that every form of use is negative. Ya get what I mean?
Most uses, from what I see are passive ones. Such as your family. Your parents raise you up, you being their child aside. You are also an investment. They USE you in a way to guarantee their livelihood when they age. Is that a vice? I don't think so. Yes, it's still using someone else, but it doesn't do any harm does it?
Everything interact for a reason. It takes two hands to clap. There is absolutely no way you can do anything at all without using that something else right? :)
So to sum things up, that use of another person is fine. Don't always look at it that it is for a negative use ya know? True sometimes people get other motives for doing something. Yet even so, if that use and motive doesn't cause any harm or damage, why think about it?
Just leave things be and you'll live your life easier. Get a more positive outlook on the people around you. I mean....you are around the people you are around now for a reason right? Because they matter to you :)
