Finally a break!
4th of March, yeah this date was supposed to hold a certain form of significant meaning. Well yeah, it's the day that marks the end of studio project 2! In addition, it also marks the end of my first year in poly! That makes 2 left to go ^^
So so so upon seeing that, it means that today was supposed to be a joyous one no? Yeah that will be what most think, including me...initially that is. After today, kinda seemed that this day was pretty much just crap. Why I hear you ask?
Okay....you did not ask, but I'm gonna tell you anyway =x
So I woke up at 7.30 at lingg's house cause I stayed overnight. Oh and talking about overnight, I slept earlier....or rather, I intended to take a short nap cause I was pretty beat. Then I told lingg to wake me up at 1am. After that, I laid down and kinda went KO'ed. The next time I woke up, because of some sounds, I saw lingg crawling onto bed. Right so I THOUGHT it was just 1am. So I asked why she was sleeping so early, it's rare ya know? 1am.....since when did she ever sleep that early? xD
Then she was like giggling away and saying I was cute O.O Yeah suspecting something was wrong, I checked my phone and..................................SURPRISE!!!! It was 5am!! =/
Yeah...lingg didn't wake me up lol~ Then I realised later on that she let me sleep on cause she knew I needed it, I haven't been sleeping much the pass 3 weeks. Averaging out 3-4 hours daily ya know? I was kinda touched =x It's well....really sweet of her :)
So yeah, I left lingg's house to head home to prepare for my presentation later on in the afternoon. Got back home, took a bathe, changed and headed straight out! Got to school at 10 and the group gathered to do a final check on our presentation.
Then then some last minute hiccups happened zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
and then problems came up. Yeah...we didn't had enough time to burn the data onto the disc. But time was up and we had to head to the presentation theatre. There were 7 groups in front of us and up till the 6th group, I was like "oh god...this is all going to hell...the data isn't even ready, how the hell are we gonna present?"
Yeah everything was going south. LUCKILY! At the 7th group, the markers called for a short break! That was our chance to finish up copying in the data, and we did it just in time. It was such a relieving moment, like when ya constipating. All the crap that's stuck in your rectum, and there's no way of pushing it out. Then it just accumulates and all of a sudden, it all lets go in 1 shot~~ WHAM YEAH that was the exact kinda relief I felt =x Stupid analogy I know, but come on, this is the best one anyone can come up with right? =p
When it was our turn, we presented our stuff bla bla bla and then came the turn for the markers to comment on the game. Yeah....this part was just shit. Loads of problems here and there with the game mechanics, and since I was the one doing most of the talking for the presentation, it appeared like it was my fault =.=
Like hello??? Hey did I hear it wrong? Cause I wasn't the damn guy who did the programming and I sure as hell wasn't the damn guy who did the in-game pixel art assets. I WAS THE CONCEPT ARTIST.....and eventually the lead artist since my other members couldn't catch up =.=
Yeah so the fault of others, became as if it was mine....and to think I gave so much for this project. My job scope was suppose to end in the 2nd week, and I ended up working full time all 3 weeks.....I put int he bloody effort and this was what I got =.=""
Seriously, if I get a bad grade for this module cause of other's incompetence, and neglecting the fact that I've done so much...I'm seriously not gonna work hard again =.= Like what's the point for working so much...get a shitty grade and slackers in your team, who did shit, get the same grade as you? Doesn't make any sense does it? =.=""
Yeah so this was what made the day fucked up. And I wasn't the only one, another one of my classmate shared the same fate. Did like 80% of the art assets, and got shit for his effort. What the god damned crap is this? Life sucks that way :(
There goes my position in the director's list zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz ;(
Anyway, after that I went on to meet lingg at city hall. Cause I was so upset, and I missed her so much. Met her at suntec convention at some wedding thingy. After some stoning, we eventually left the area, and along the way people was asking if we wanna look at wedding gowns =x Then me and lingg were like, do we look that old? LOL! =x We might come back someday? =p
Then we went to look for a japanese restaurant cause lingg wanted to have ramen. So we walked 1 round at the suntec food basement and eventually decided on one. I finished up ramen up real quick cause I was so hungry, and lingg looked kinda stressed up beside me. So I told her to take her time, I mean, there's no rush right? haha ^^ Not like I mind waiting anyway ;D We've got all the time in the world!
After that I got anderson's ice-cream at 5 bucks a cup =x
Then then trained back to my house so I could wash up and pick up my lappy cause I'll be heading to lingg's later. After that, we bused back down to lingg's house, yeah, spending the night there =p So with my lappy, of course I'm putting it to good use xD SO here I am, blogging away since there was so much crap today. The only good part was meeting lingg in the evening :)
Alright time to go do other stuff, that's about it for today, kinda long I think? Ranting never felt this good. And it's finally the holidays! A break at long last! =D
